On Projection
On Projection is a video based on an excerpt of Leonardo da Vinci's Treatise on Painting and where he refers that when one looks at an old wall, or for example, at the clouds, one can see and imagine different images, shapes and configurations. This video also can be related to parts of paintings or undefined stains, colours or configurations where one can also make sense by projecting ones own experience or to other configurations that appear more recognisable or distinguishable on a surface of the same image.
This project was presented in Porto and in Angra do Heroísmo with the project Projections and Premonitions in April and September 2017.
Like the video (a collage and transparencies of very different images and proveniences), the sound track is an audio collage based on Tibetan monk Mantras, Tibetan bowls, noise distortion and other sounds captured in nature
